| Description: | To participate in exciting genetics/epigenetics and neurobiology research projects on autism spectrum disorder and genetic mental retardation syndromes in human and mice. We use human and molecular genetics tools to uncover the genetic basis of autism disorder. We use mouse genetics and neurobiological tools to dissect the pathogenesis and synaptic function of autism spectrum disorder and mental retardation syndrome in Genetics and neurobiology research mutant/knockout mice models. Autism research is an exciting forefront in the genetics and neurobiology. Candidate will have extensive interaction with genetics and neurobiology researchers at Duke and UNC. |
| Requirements: | A PhD or MD/PhD degree is required. Experience in molecular biology is required. Experience in molecular genetics or neurobiology is preferred. |
